BAGPIPE AND DRUM INSTRUCTION
We welcome new players, of all levels, to inquire about joining our organization!
If you already own your instrument and have previous playing experience, we can provide the level of guidance needed to bring you up to speed on our tunes.
If you are a beginner, we can assist in the purchase of quality instruments and provide "day one" instruction to have you playing within our ranks in a reasonable time frame.
Bagpipes
Beginner Package
Part 1
Dunbar Practice Chanter & Reed $75
Hal Leonard Bagpipe Method $14
Program Duration - Six Weeks
Program Cost - $100 paid in advance
In addition to the self-paced Hal Leonard Bagpipe Method and DVD, you will participate in weekly group lessons that will last 45 minutes. During this time you will have an accomplished instructor who will help guide you through the program.
At the conclusion of the six weeks you will have learned three tunes and built a strong foundation for further learning.
If you have successfully completed this portion of the program, you will be encouraged to purchase an appropriate Great Highland Bagpipe.

Part 2
Scottish Drumming
Side or Tenor Drum
Beginner Package
Offworld Drum pad: $30
Snare sticks: $15

Tenor sticks: $40 (No pad needed)
Program Duration - Six Weeks
Program Cost - $100 paid in advance
You will participate in weekly group lessons that will last one hour. During this time you will have an accomplished instructor who will help guide you through the program.
At the conclusion of the six weeks you will have learned the basic rudiments of drumming and built a strong foundation for further learning.
If you have successfully completed this portion of the program, you will be able to participate in Tucson & District Pipe Band group warm-ups and play three performance tunes with the band.
Drums and harnesses are provided for use by the band organization.
Great Highland Bagpipe $900 +
(There are instruments available to borrow during this program. Resources may be available to lower the cost of an instrument.)

During these group lessons, lasting 45 minute each, you will build the skills required to play these basic tunes on the bagpipe. The goal is that you are participating in weekly rehearsals with Tucson & District Pipe Band.
